STORY SO FAR
The Inside Out Clothing Project is the UK's first clothing brand created and designed by young ex-offenders.
The Inside Out Clothing Project's main mission is to generate realistic job prospects for young people leaving the justice system by creating opportunities in business through fashion and design.
All the clothing on our site has been created and designed by the young participants on the project. Everyone involved is a brand ambassador with their own stories of hope and they just want a second chance. All proceeds from sales go back into the community interest company, which will enable us to continue the Inside Out project each year.
During the The Inside Out Clothing Project the participants on the course get top business, fashion, employment and personal development skills. The first Inside Out project launched in March 2022 in partnership with LinkedIn.
The project featured on a number of high profile media outlets such as BBC News, ITV News, SkyNews and Channel 5 News in addition to receiving coverage in The Independent, Metro UK, InsideTime and MyLondon to name a few.
Over the next five years the projects aim is to help 1,000s of young people who have struggled since being released from prison, and who deserve help to reintegrate into society. We all make mistakes, some bigger than others.
The next project will start in early 2025 and will be run by Founder and CEO Greg McKenzie. It will also include several participants who took part in the first project, who will be project managers to inspire our new intake of young people.
If you know a young person you would like to recommend please drop us a line.
