How do we unlock opportunities and transform social mobility through creativity, business, and partnership?

✨ InsideOut Breaking Barriers at Parliament ✨

Last night, Inside Out Clothing Project stepped into Parliament with a simple yet urgent question: How do we unlock opportunities and transform social mobility through creativity, business, and partnership?

A huge thank you to Lord Marvin Rees OBE (a true DOER 💯 ) for opening the doors for such an impactful evening, and to our powerhouse of experts:

THANK YOU all for saying YES!
Lord Marvin Rees (House of Lords & Former Mayor of Bristol)
Rob Pierre (Co-Founder & Former CEO, Jellyfish; Director & Funder, Inside Out)
Efe Obada (NFL Player & Inside Out Ambassador)
Jenny Oklikah (CEO, Steel Warriors)
Vivienne Tong Ton (Director, PwC)
Brilliantly moderated by Greg McKenzie.

HUGE THANK YOU to Tariq and his brothers from, One Brother, House of Vox- who closed us out with their extraordinary gifts of spoken word!

Together, we tackled the hard truths:
🔹 42% of adults reoffend within a year of release—rising to 58% for short sentences.
🔹 Reoffending costs the UK £18 billion annually.
🔹 It costs £57,000 to incarcerate one person for a year—yet only 8% of those leaving prison secure employment.

And yet—Inside Out proves what’s possible:
✅ Over 25 participants supported so far.
✅ Just 1 has returned to prison.
✅ A reoffending rate of 4% vs the national 42–58%.
✅ Saving society £50,000+ per participant per year.

We heard stories of resilience, bold calls for sustainable business models, and the power of art, sport, and storytelling to rewrite narratives. A special shoutout to Efe Obada for sharing his story of redemption, reminding us what’s at stake.

To all the impactful change warriors in the room—thank you. 👊 This is only the beginning. 💥

Inside Out is living proof that when creativity meets opportunity, transformation follows.

Now, the challenge is scale, requiring courage from government, investment from business, and collaboration across society.

The power we have as a community—of change-makers—is real. Together, we can open doors, create new pathways, partner, and sponsor.

📢 Please don’t just like this post—get ready to ROCK with us. Something new is Coooooommmmmming! 🔥 🔥 🔥
